Information om vinet i denna årgång: Vinification: temperature controlled fermentation (27º - 29º C; indegenous yeast), maceration: 4 - 5 weeks, malo-lactic fermentation started in tank and finished in barrel, very soft finning (one egg white per 400liter) before bottling not cold stabilized, light filtration. 12 months aged in new and one year old mainly french oak barrels (228l); Allier and Never; light and medium toasted; 1 racking, after blending aged for 3 months in tank before bottling. Vineyards: 15 small plots of old vines aged 60 - 100 years old; terroir: clay, granit; very mineral; two plots of slate, slopes and old terrases. Altitude: 300 - 550 m. Prunning: traditional “vaso” (three “arms”). Harvest/Selection: manual in 20 kg boxes, starts mid september until mid october. Second manual selection on table selection. Yield: 400 to 800 g (2 - 4 small bunches per vine) - 15 - 18 hl/ha. Small beery fruit; thick skin. Total production: 9.500 bottles (75cl.) 500 bottles Magnum. Analysis: 14,5 % vol. Alcohol - 5,5 g/l acidity (tartaric) - 3 g/l residual sugar.

Provningsanteckningar: Röd med tegelbrun kant. Komplex, integrerad, varm, kryddig doft med viss utveckling. Inslag av jordgubbssylt, choklad, saltlakrits och kalk. Pepprig, torr, medelfyllig, utvecklad smak med inslag av lakrits, tobaksrök, kärva bär och parfym. Mineralisk svans. Bra balanserad alkohol och syra. Vinet har en lätt textur men fullt pådrag i koncentrationen. Ett elegant, men kraftfull vin på gränsen till det stora.
